Biography: Sheila Quigley has had various jobs ranging from the bad to the ridiculous and all the in-betweens: machinist, presser, double glazing sales person, market stall holder and frozen food sales person amongst many. The hardest of these was picking tatties to put shoes on the kids' feet, at a time when the weekly dole money for a family of two adults and three little girls was ten pounds. She now has nine grandchildren (six boys and three girls), four children (three daughters and one son) and two sons-in-law. An awful lot of tatties are eaten at family dinners.
