A coffee-stall owner and a newspaper seller fend off fear of loneliness and death through desultory chat. 'Last to Go', 'Request Stop' and 'Special Offer' were performed in the revue 'Pieces of Eight', which opened at the Apollo Theatre, London, in September 1959
