From 1st November our supplier of eBooks and eAudio is changing from Overdrive to BorrowBox

How do I find and read books on the new system?

If you are using a computer, the process has not changed. Simply go to the Leeds Library catalogue – www.leeds.gov.uk/librarycatalogue and follow the link to eBooks and eAudio and choose your books. If you are reading and choosing on a tablet or phone you will need to download the BorrowBox app. This is available in Google Play, Apple App Store and on Amazon Fire. Select Leeds Libraries and enter your library card number and pin. You can then choose, borrow and read books through the app.

What happens to any books that I am currently reading?

If you have books out and you have downloaded them to read you will still have access to those books until the loan period is over. If you are reading a book online, then this will no longer be available when we change supplier. However we are moving the majority of the books over to our new supplier so you should be able to re-borrow anything you have previously borrowed.

What happens to any holds I have placed on books?

These will be lost when we move suppliers. You will need to find the book again on the BorrowBox catalogue/App.

Will I still have the same choice?

Yes – we are moving the majority of the books that were available through our previous supplier to our new one. We are also building a fabulous launch collection of new titles for you to choose from.

How do I get help if I am struggling to get the books onto my device?

You can access support from BorrowBox by visiting www.borrowbox.com

I still need help – who can I talk to?
