    During 2013-2014 Lancashire County Council's Community Heritage team are working on a project looking at the connections between the St Annes on the Fylde coats and Rossendale. This began when the St Anne's on the Sea Land and Building Company was formed in 1874 by eight Rossendale businessmen and subsequently invested in the new town when it started its development from 1875. The most notable Rossendalian to influence St Annes was William John Porritt who invested considerable sums of money in the developing town. The books on the list will help you to fully explore the histories of the two areas and their connections..
