Letters of Capt & Mrs. Melvill 1797-1811. Mrs. Melvill 1770-1844 was Elizabeth Carey Dobrée. Philip Melvill was a Captain of a Company of Independant Invalids stations in Guernsey. Later he was Lt. Gov. of Pendennis Castle
