Enjoy free access to a large range of eBooks, eAudiobooks and eComics as part of the Better Libraries Digital Consortium. Browse via our library catalogue, our Overdrive website or via the Libby app. All you need is your library card number and your PIN. If you aren’t already a member of Bromley Libraries you can become a member of Bromley Libraries by visiting your local library or join online

Getting started with the eBooks app

You will need: A valid Bromley library card and your 4-digit PIN.

You are allowed: Five eBooks or audiobooks at a time – for a period of 7, 14 or 21 days (choose from the drop down menu)

Steps to follow:

  • • Download the free Libby app or Overdrive app from the App store or Play store (see comparison of apps below and choose the right one for you)
  • • Add your library (search for Better Libraries Consortium and then choose Bromley Library)
  • • Enter library card number and PIN
  • • Borrow an eBook or eAudiobook

Libby vs Overdrive

Libby is for you if you like things to be a simple, quick one-tap read with minimum fuss. However, it only works on devices with Android OS 4.4 or newer or iOS 9 or newer.

Over Drive is the tried and tested app for the tech-savvy with more user options.
